Student Life: School. Life. Balance.

Teachers teach. Parents parent. Students thrive. Learning Strategies classes and after-school academic coaching mean homework is often done before going home, leaving space in everyone’s schedule for activities. Sports. Music. Friends. Family. Life.

Meaningful Work, Meaningful Action

Critical to every student’s success is a healthy balance between the demands of school and life. We believe our students’ schedules should allow time for meaningful engagement in extracurricular activities. Our programs are purposefully structured to integrate social emotional learning. An active student government, clubs, sports, music, arts and theater, and our service learning curriculum complement our rigorous academics, resulting in a powerful and balanced high school experience. Wolcott offers over 25 clubs and activity groups each year.

Excellence in the Arts

At Wolcott, creativity thrives across every medium—visual, performance, music, written, and dance. Students express themselves through classes, clubs, and showcases that celebrate collaboration and imagination. From art studios to theater stages, and through visits to Chicago’s rich cultural landmarks, Wolcott students explore, create, and shine.
