Kathy grew up in the St. Louis area. She received her Bachelor of Arts and teaching degree from DePauw University with a major in Physical Education. She went on to coach field hockey and lacrosse at her alma mater, John Burroughs High School, in St. Louis. Upon moving to Chicago she received her Master of Education in Reading and Learning Disabilities from DePaul University. She worked at Deerfield High School for seven years, two years as an assistant in special education and then five years developing and teaching a core special education program and learning strategies. Kathy also coached varsity field hockey and freshman soccer at Deerfield. Kathy has been in private practice for the past 15 years, tutoring middle and upper school students. When time permits, Kathy enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as, reading and traveling.
