Prior to coming to Wolcott School, Dawn worked at Deerfield High School for more than 20 years where she held the positions of Special Education Department Chair, Educational Diagnostician, and Learning Specialist. Through each of these roles, she enjoyed developing collaborative relationships with students, parents, and staff, planning and facilitating professional development, and supporting student growth and development. Dawn earned her bachelors and master’s degrees in Learning Disabilities from Northwestern University. She earned a second master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University. In her free time, Dawn likes to travel, read and sing. Dawn is thrilled to join the Wolcott staff this year and to be teaching Learning Strategies.
