Cheyanne is an English teacher focused on social equity and differentiated learning. She is passionate about empowering struggling readers and writers to achieve their full academic potential and hopes all of her students will grow into curious lifelong learners who seek meaning and joy in life.
Cheyanne holds a bachelor of arts in Secondary English Education and a minor in social justice from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Before joining the Wolcott community in 2020, Cheyanne coached students to craft compelling and authentic personal statements for college applications. She enthusiastically infuses this experience and love for creative writing into the English classroom.
In her free time, Cheyanne can be found making a mess in her vegan kitchen, laughing at her own bad jokes, and spending time with her sweet dogs and cat.
