Basketball
Wolcott College Prep is part of the Lakeshore Athletic Conference in basketball. Both girls and boys basketball are fall season sports. Frequent and rigorous practice is part of our winning strategy. Our players and coaches are committed to working as a competitive team. Every team is supported by a head coach, an assistant coach, and a student manager.
- The Wolcott Coaching Staff is diverse and includes members of the Wolcott teaching staff as well as coaches from outside the school.
- Student spectators provide tremendous energy and school spirit for the athletes. Our designated student fan section always packs the bleachers.
- In addition to student involvement, parents are highly invested in all sports and athletics events. Parental involvement includes high attendance at competitions, providing carpools and snacks, and coordinating the end-of-season banquets with the Director of Athletics. Parents are encouraged to communicate with coaches regarding students’ attendance at practice and transportation after competitions.
- End of season banquets bring athletes and families together to celebrate their successes.
